They are each withdrawn one by one until the winner of Tough as Nails is revealed, but no one is sent away. Even if they “punch out” of the individual competition, they can still win additional rewards in the ongoing team events. The Tough as Nails reality program redefines what it takes to be tough by showcasing that toughness can take many forms.

According to the creators, the plot of Tough as Nails has not been altered. However, they may make a few changes; if so, they will make an announcement shortly.

Generally, twelve contestants engage in activities held on actual job sites to test their strength, durability, life skills, and mental toughness. In addition, individual competitions, 6-on-6 team challenges, and “Overtime” elimination bouts are held.

The winning team in each competition receives $12,000 ($2,000 per member) and the Badge of Honor to the squad that challenges. After the season, the team with the most Badges of Honor receives an added $60,000 cash incentive ($10,000 per player).
