1000-lb Best Friends Season 2: Is It Releasing In January 2023?

1000-lb Best Friends quickly gained a devoted following after its TLC premiere. Following the Season 1 finale, fans wanted to know if 1000-lb Best Friends would return for a Season 2.

The series follows four friends as they encourage one another in all parts of life, including weight reduction, for them to have better and happier lives.

Release date of 1000-lb Best Friends Season 2

TLC has announced that 1000-lb Best Friends Season 2 will release on January 4, 2023, and will include the return of the four women we’ve grown to love: Vanessa Cross, Meghan Crumpler, Ashley Sutton, and Tina Arnold.

The Plot of Season 2

In an all-new season 1000-lb Best Friends Season 2, BFFs Vannessa, Meghan, Tina, and Ashely return with heart, comedy, and waistline issues as they gather to celebrate the highs and battle obesity’s lows.

Meghan struggles with motivation even after dropping 200 pounds and believes that planning her wedding would get her back on track, but the pressure of living with Tina & her family while their house floods may ruin them both.

Vanessa, the most successful in her weight reduction journey, now fears for the life of her obese 19-year-old son.

At the same time, Ashely must deal with personal setbacks threatening her eligibility for gastric bypass surgery.

As a result, the four ladies constantly look for new and creative ways to physically and psychologically push themselves and each other.

This feisty foursome will attempt anything in their quest for weight loss, from running a 5k to roller skating to bra buying and a vacation to a health retreat. In addition, they constantly attempt to remain together as BFFs through the meltdowns, the glow-ups, and everything in between.

There will likely be some difficulties from the start. The teaser begins with Meghan sobbing in Dr. Proctor’s office.

She tells him she doesn’t like the way he speaks to her and makes her feel like she’s failing at losing weight. Dr. Proctor responds by asking Meghan whether she is genuinely doing everything she can to preserve her health. Meghan admits she isn’t, then exits the office.

Tina states in her brain that Meghan is in a terrible mood and has reached the “meltdown” phase. It’s not an extended teaser, but it gives fans a solid indication of what they may expect coming season.

Meghan is going to struggle to maintain a healthy weight this year. She seems confident on social media, but she worked hard to get that state of mind. There will certainly be additional plots, but this will undoubtedly be a significant storyline on the program this season.
