Dwayne Johnson Won’t Return As Black Adam?

Published by

After the news that Henry Cavill gave us that he won’t be returning as Superman ever again, it seems like the sword is now on Dwayne Johnson’s neck. Is Black Adam officially canceled or is it just a plain rumor that is circulating on the internet? Read the article further to know more about this.

Is Dwayne Johnson’s Career Over In DC?

Variety

It looks like after the arrival of James Gunn, things have been a little chaotic at the DC office. Projects have been canceled left and right since his arrival. After Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman, maybe now it’s the turn of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.

There is no doubt that Dwayne Johnson made all the efforts to promote Black Adam. Even after hyping up the Black Adam project so much, maybe Dwayne’s efforts were not enough to impress the new chairperson, James Gunn.

Even though James Gunn talked about the importance of Superman in the DC Universe, he kept his mouth shut about Black Adam. And because of this, fans are now uncertain about the future of Black Adam in the DCU.

Fans are Asking Questions About Black Adam.

South China Morning Post

After the departure of Henry Cavill, it is highly uncertain that the new bosses at the DC office will count a flop project as a part of the upcoming universe that they are creating.

James Gunn has not yet made any official announcement regarding Black Adam that can keep the fans satisfied. And because of this, the fans have been asking questions on Twitter.

It is highly certain that even Henry Cavill’s cameo in the upcoming movie FLASH will also be deleted. This means that his appearance in Black Adam was the last one of Henry’s Superman in the DC universe.

Although, we will have to wait for James Gunn’s official announcement on the future of Black Adam. As the fans are mentioning, it can be agreed that certainly, Dwayne Johnson didn’t mean this when he talked about the change of DC hierarchy.

Even after the disapproval of fans regarding James’ decisions, the Guardians of the Galaxy director has clearly stated that not all his decisions will be pleasing to the DCEU fandom. It’s a rather harsh thing to say. But, only the future will tell whether James will be appreciated for his work or not.
