Trevor Noah Leaching The Daily Show

Variety

Trevor Noah, the host we all love, has finally bid farewell to The Daily Show. He said goodbye to the show he’s hosted for the past 7 years on December 9. And of course, he was all teary-eyed.

Trevor Noah succeeded Jon Stewart, as the host of The Daily Show in March 2015. Trevor Noah watched the show for the first time, through CNN.

“When I started this show, I had three clear goals. I was like, ‘I’m gonna make sure Hillary gets elected. I’m gonna make sure that I prevent a global pandemic from starting, and I’m gonna become best friends with Kanye West,” Trevor joked on his last telecast of The Daily Show.

All of that was just a sarcastic comment as neither Hillary became the President of the United States of America, nor he was able to prevent Covid and there is no way anyone can become friends with Kanye right now, because of obvious reasons.

Noah also said a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has ever watched The Daily Show hosted by him. He said, “Thank you to people who watch, the people who share the clips, you know, everyone who’s having an opinion,” He added, “Even the people who hate-watched, we still got the ratings, thank you,”.

Trevor Gave Shoutout to Black Women

BBC

Trevor randomly gave shoutouts to all the black women that have shaped his life. He said, “Who do you think has shaped me, nourished me, and formed me? From my mom to my grand to my aunt to all these black women in my life,”

He added, “If you truly want to learn about America, talk to black women. Because, unlike everybody else, black women cannot afford to f around and find out. Black people understand how hard it is when things go bad,”.
