Kanye West’s Twitter Account Suspended Once Again?

Published by

Kanye West is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and fashion icon. He is the most popular along with the most controversial hip-hop artists of the early 21st century.

Kanye West’s Twitter account is said to be suspended. Well again. But why exactly?

Kanye West who popularly goes by the name Ye has been suspended from Twitter for “inciting violence” over offensive tweets. His account got suspended just two months after his last ban.

Kanye West had posted a series of erratic tweets, where one appeared to show a symbol combining a swastika and a Jewish star.

There were various complaints about West to the New Boss of Twitter, Elon Musk. Someone asked Musk to ‘fix Kanye’. “Violated our rule against incitement to violence”, Musk tweeted. He also tweeted that Kanye West’s account will be banned.

In other news, on Thursday, during an interview with US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, West was seen praising Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and ranting about sin, pornography, and the devil.

In recent months, West has been seen causing a series of controversial, problematic, antisemitic, and racist remarks which led to clothing giant Adidas cutting ties with the rapper.

Earlier this year, he was also suspended from Instagram for 24hrs in March after using a racial slur in reference to comedian Trevor Noah.

West was initially banned from Twitter and Instagram accounts after posting antisemitic messages in October. Both platforms removed West’s posts – which accused rapper Diddy of being controlled by Jewish people – saying the star had violated policies on hate speech.

The posts were in response to a backlash against his show at Paris Fashion Week, where he wore a T-shirt that said the slogan, “White Lives Matter”.

The Anti-Defamation League in the US branded his phrase as “hate speech” and attributed it to white supremacists, who began using it in 2015 in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

After the first ban, when Musk took control he said that he had no role in bringing West back on Twitter and also clarified that the account was restored before he acquired the social media platform.

However, Kanye West’s activities cannot be justified but he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has publicly spoken about it many times.
