Timo Tjahjanto is the creator, writer, director, and producer of The Big 4, a forthcoming Indonesian Netflix Original criminal comedy series. The Big 4 will be Netflix’s second Indonesian original movie to be released in 2022.

It has been revealed that the exclusive film will debut next month on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the same time as other original movies and series on Netflix.

The Plot 

The Big 4 is an upcoming action comedy Indonesian movie that will be released on Netflix in a few days. It shows four assassins who have retired but must return to the field when they encounter a righteous police officer on a quest to catch a nasty criminal who constantly escapes from authorities.

Furthermore, according to the film’s official summary, “a by-the-book investigator investigates her father’s murder and follows a trail to a remote tropical island, only to discover his actual identity as a head of a group of assassins.”

As a result, she must join up with the gangsters her father had trained – four retired, down-on-their-luck assassins yearning to get revenge on him.

The trailer introduces a group of four assassins, each with their own set of job responsibilities and responsibilities. Then, there’s the Badass, the Sniper, the Bait, and the Leader. They appear to be an all-conquering team that completes the work while making quite a scene.

The Mentor holds everything together. Soon after the introduction, the trailer turns tragic with the murder of a police officer’s father. Dina is saddened, but when she awakens, she searches for those who might bring her father’s murderer to justice. What she finds changes her whole life.

Her first stop was the Paranais Villa, with its unhelpful attendant. Dina discovers throughout her inquiry that her father was The Mentor who led the film’s titular assassins.

Unfortunately, his death was ‘work-related,’ and the same adversaries are after her. Having put away their guns and retired, the Big 4 are shortly back in action to support Dina in her fight for vengeance.

The target of their united anger is a person known as the Scorpion of South East Asia. Both squads square off, and there is inevitable carnage, but remember that sometimes it takes a criminal to capture a criminal.

Along with the action choreography, gun & knife clashes, and fight cries in The Big 4, an overarching humorous depth appears to make the movie a must-see.
