Amazon Prime Video is bringing another new tv series for the viewers to quench their thirst for mystery and crime drama. ‘Three Pines’ is adapted from Canadian mystery novel writer Louise Penny’s novel series ‘Chief Inspector Gamache’.
The series is centered upon the titular Chief Inspector Armand Gamache. The first season is presumably based on the first novel of the series- ‘Still Life.

The Premise of ‘Three Pines’:
The plot of the Three Pines revolves around a village of Eastern Townships which is apparently idyllic and a Chief Inspector with unusual abilities. His name is Armand Gamache and he is able to see light between cracks, find mythic elements amidst the mundane, and perceive evil inside what appears to be ordinary.
When a series of murders begin to happen in Three Pines, Gamache goes there to investigate those as he finds himself discovering long-hidden secrets and facing his own demons.

Alfred Molina-
Chief Inspector Armand Gamache will be seen played by English stage and screen actor Alfred Molina in the upcoming series.
Molina starred in his debut film role Satipo in Steven Spielberg’s American action adventure movie ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ in 1981. Some of his other film credits include ‘Prick Up Your Ears’, ‘Hancock’, ‘Not Without My Daughter’, ‘Dudley Do-Right’, ‘Texas Rangers’, ‘Frida’, ‘Luther’, ‘Spider-Man 2‘, ‘The Da Vinci Code, ‘As You Like It, ‘The Hoax’, ‘The Front Runner’ etc.
Molina was cast as Bernard Blake in the ITV crime comedy series ‘El C.I.D.’ from 1990 to 1992. He also starred as Jimmy Stiles in the sitcom ‘Ladies Man’ from 1999 to 2001 in which he also served as producer.
From 2010 to 2011 Molina was cast as Det. Ricardo Morales in police procedural legal drama series ‘Law & Order: LA’. As titular Roger Stephenson, he starred in the British sitcom ‘Roger & Val Have Just Got In’ from 2010 to 2012.
Rossif Sutherland-
Canadian actor Sutherland is another cast member of the upcoming series. His film credits include ‘Timeline’, ‘Red Doors’, ‘The Con Artist’, ‘Dead Before Dawn’, ‘Hyena Road’, ‘Backstabbing for Beginners’, ‘A Call to Spy’, ‘Possessor’, ‘The Middle Man’, ‘The Retreat’, ‘Orphan: First Kill’, ‘Stellar’ etc.
From 2003 to 2004 Sutherland was cast as the recurring character Lester Kertzenstein in NBC’s medical drama series ‘ER’. As the main character Detective Pen Martin, he starred in 2012 in Showcase’s Canadian police drama series ‘King’.
From 2013 to 2017 Sutherland played the recurring character of French astrologer and apothecary, physician Nostradamus in The CW’s historical romantic drama series ‘Reign’.
Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers-
Blackfoot and Sámi filmmaker and actor Tailfeathers is another cast member of the series. She has starred in a number of films and tv series. Canadian actress Tantoo Cardinal will also be seen starring in the upcoming series. Cardinal starred in the British Canadian movie ‘Loyalties’ in 1986 in the role of Rosanne Ladouceur. Her other film credits include ‘Sioux City’, ‘Smoke Signals’, ‘Edge of Madness’, ‘Older than America’, ‘Mothers & Daughters, ‘ARQ’, ‘Wind River, ‘Through Black Spruce’, ‘Angelique’s Isle’, ‘Red Snow’, ‘The Corruption of Divine Providence’ etc.

From 1998 to 2001 Coulter was cast in the role of Amelia Cackle in the ITV tv series ‘The Worst Witch’. As Ellie Germaine, she starred in CBS’ legal comedy series ‘This Is Wonderland’ from 2004 to 2005.
Then from 2005 to 2006, she was cast in the role of Amelia Cackle in the tv series ‘The New Worst Witch. Then as Jess Unger, Coulter was cast from 2010 to 2011 in HBO Canada’s comedy series ‘Living in Your Car’.
Julian Bailey-
