SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3: Design, Features, Performance, and More!

SteelSeries’ renowned Arctis headset collection has been updated for 2022 with all-new styles and a little less confusing model selection. In addition, the Arctis 5 headphones have been retired and incorporated into the Arctis Nova 3 headphones.

As a result, the Arctis Nova 3 is a fantastic affordable set of headphones for gaming and general entertainment, plus some fancy new RGB lighting on the exterior.

Design of SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3

Even though the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 has a plastic body with no metal, it has a sophisticated appearance.

The headset’s sturdiness is due to the use of high-quality plastic by the company. In addition, it has a simple design with only the brand logo stamped on the outside of both earcups.

The fabric extension beneath the plastic headband has four degrees of adjustment. While this increases flexibility, altering the headset’s height is time-consuming. In addition, the user must clip the extension into and out of the headband each time rather than just sliding it up and down. The headband, on the other hand, is comfortable.

Price and Availability

The Arctis Nova 3 cost $99 and was released on August 23, 2022. It is priced appropriately for a wired headset with multi-platform support since it is midrange.

Features

Since the rotatable earcups may be adjusted to lie flat around your neck, they’re also relatively thick, with plenty of cushioning consisting of breathable AirWeave memory foam. Overall, the Arctis Nova 3 is exceptionally comfortable and lightweight in terms of ergonomics.

This headset’s broad adaptability is my favorite feature. In addition, the Arctis Nova 3 is fully supplied with cables that considerably enhance its capability and support several platforms.

Performance

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 is versatile, choosing USB-C while supporting different devices. The PC USB extension is lengthy and detachable, so it may stay housed there. The only major issue is the cable quality, solid plastic rather than a cable that flexes and hangs. But don’t worry; the sound quality is fantastic for gaming.

The mids are balanced and clear, although the soundstage is a little overcrowded. They are less spacious than we would have wanted. They would have been perfect with a bit more richness and presence. The Arctis Nova 3 performs admirably in terms of sound imaging.

Conclusion

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 wired headset is lightweight, comfy, and adaptable, plus it comes with some great software. Unfortunately, when we look at headsets, the hardware often steals the show, with software and other features looking like added benefits rather than equally significant components of the total picture.

On that topic, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 is a reminder that being versatile also offers excellent software support. For example, changing a headband to fit is just as crucial as tuning an equalizer to suit a particular game or personal preference.
