ATEEZ Donates 100 Million Won for the Victims of Itaewon Tragedy.

Ateez is one of the famous South Korean boy bands which consists of eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. Recently it has been reported that they have donated 100 million won to the people who became victims of the Itaewon incident that happened not long ago.

On November 5, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that ATEEZ had given 100 million won (about $72,219) to aid the people who got hurt in the disaster and the families of those who perished.

The donations made by the group are reportedly the earnings of their world tour activities. The band’s agency KQ Entertainment gave a statement, “The ATEEZ members are grieving this accident terribly.

In an effort to provide even a small amount of assistance to the victims’ grieving families and the injured, they made the decision to make this donation.”

South Korean Singer Boy Band ATEEZ Donates 100 Million Won.

In the Itaewon neighborhood of Seoul, South Korea, on the evening of October 29, 2022, there was a crowd crush during Halloween celebrations. There were at least 156 fatalities and at least 172 injuries.

During the incident most of the young adults became victims. The morning after the incident, on October 30 KST, President Yoon Seok Yeol held a press conference at the Yongsan Presidential Office.

He announced an urgent public discussion regarding the Itaewon tragedy and proclaimed a period of national mourning, beginning that day and lasting until November 5.

The South Korean boy band Ateez made its debut on October 24, 2018, with the extended play (EP) Treasure EP.1: All to Zero.

Ateez earned the Bonsang (primary award) at the 4th The Fact Music Awards, and the 30th, and 31st Seoul Music Awards, and along with this they were also awarded the Worldwide Fans’ Choice at the 2019 and 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

The group has till now released two EPs and two studio albums in the Japanese language as well as nine EPs and one studio album in the Korean language. Over four million physical albums by Ateez have been sold globally.

The group has additionally served as an official international ambassador for Korean culture and tourism. They are frequently referred to as “Global Performance Idols” by Korean media and are known as “4th Generation Leaders” by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
