Zootopia+ Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything you need to know

Published by

At the Investor Day event in late 2020, “Zootopia+,” which would transport viewers back to the bustling animal metropolis of Zootopia, was one of the new animated movie series revealed for Disney+.

Zootopia+ delves further into the backgrounds of a number of the most interesting characters from the original Zootopia movie, such as Fru Fru, the recently married arctic shrew, Gazelle’s skilled tiger dancers, and Flash, the surprising sloth.

Some brand-new information about the short series was disclosed at a special presentation at France’s Annecy Animation Festival. The short-form series will debut on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, as opposed to its initial spring 2021 release date. This news follows various delays for the series.

Disney+ seems to be more cautious and deliberate with its new releases than other streaming services, especially when it comes to the MCU and Star Wars brands, building on the current movies and TV shows and increasing our knowledge of each world.

Andor, the Star Wars prequel series, is without a doubt the most recent, widely discussed spectacle to grab everyone’s attention. Andor was hailed as one of the finest Star Wars TV shows to date when it debuted in September 2022.

In addition to Star Wars, Disney+ has completed Phase 4 of their MCU programming lineup with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This massive property has a lot to look forward to, including the Marvel Zombies series and season 2 of What If?

We could go on and on about how many new upgrades there are every day, but for the time being, let’s concentrate on which TV shows will be available on Disney+ starting in November 2022.

Zootopia+ is a type of sequel to the well-liked movie Zootopia. In its initial 2016 release, Zootopia told the story of an unlikely alliance between a rabbit police officer named Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and a red fox con man named Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they cooperated to uncover a felonious plot involving the demise of predators in the movie’s titular city where anthropomorphic animals live.

When it was released, the movie pulled in over a billion dollars for Disney. There have also been rumors about a sequel, though there hasn’t been a formal announcement. In addition, Zootopia took home the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature Film, the Critics’ Choice Movie Award, the Academy Award, and the Golden Globe.

Fans of the first movie will be aware of how big Zootopia’s universe is and that the movie only provided a brief look at a very small portion of it.

It appears like Zootopia+ will provide viewers the ability to learn more about that world while also bringing back some of the Zootopia supporting cast members that are most loved by fans.

Trent Correy and Josie Trinidad, who both worked on the original movie as writers and animators respectively, will helm Zootopia+.
