NCT 127 is the first stable and second overall sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT which is created and managed by SM Entertainment. The group had their performance in Jakarta, Indonesia on November 4 as a part of their world tour.

The South Korean boyband NCT 127 had to stop their performance midway as the fans started pushing and fainting because of the crowd. The problem emerged in the standing area of the event as attendees were not assigned seats but instead stood.

In order to move in front some supporters started to press forward, crushing other spectators. As a result, approximately 30 people fainted due to lack of oxygen and the event had to be interrupted in between.

Before the NCT 127 Performance, a bomb threat had been discovered circulating.

Gulf News

On November 4, it was revealed that a letter containing a bomb threat had been discovered circulating online and was directed at the Jakarta performance hall where NCT 127 was performing.

However, the device was not discovered during a detection dog search of the performance hall by the local police, and the show went ahead as scheduled.

The Jakarta Metro Police announced that, in advance of the concert, security would be stepped up. As the number of people present for the show was more, it might have created a suffocating atmosphere in the standing section of the audience, and as a result of which people started fainting.

The group NCT 127 consists of nine members Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan which made its debut on July 7, 2016. In South Korea since 2016, NCT 127 has released four studio albums, two albums that were repackaged, and four extended plays.

After the release of “Kick It” in 2020, they gained more international recognition from the general public. They first gained popularity in the mainstream in 2017 with “Cherry Bomb,” which is now known as one of their signature songs.

The title singles “Cherry Bomb,” “Kick It,” “Sticker,” and “2 Baddies” are a few of NCT 127’s experimental hip-hop and R&B-based music and upbeat dance routines.

Sticker, NCT 127’s third Korean studio album, and Favorite, its repackaged album, were both released in 2021 and broke sales records by selling a combined 3.58 million copies and making them the best-selling albums ever by an act under SM Entertainment and winning the group the Daesang award at the 31st Seoul Music Awards.
