Shakira’s Ex Gerard Pique Decided to Retire from Football

It has been months Since Shakira and Gerad Pique Decided to separate ways. However, they are spotted every now and then, with their kids.

It is very obvious for celebrities to come upon any action that has once in a while affected their life. Coming to personal life then most of the things are related to their date and the way their marriage has gone with the roller coaster ride.

Something like this was seen with the singer Shakira and her separation from the footballer named Gerard Pique. After a few weeks of separation, Shakira was surrounded by the tax thing. When it comes to the footballer then he has decided to retire from the game after 5 months of their separation.

The 35-year-old footballer Gerard Pique shocked his fans on 3 November 2022 when he announced his retirement. He has announced it through Twitter and Instagram by sharing a video, almost playing for 20 years.

Gerard Pique has continued the video with a confession where he revealed a match between Barcelona and Almeria that is on 5 November. He announced this match as his final one and said:

“The last few weeks, months, lots of people have been talking about me. Until now, I haven’t said anything. But now, I want to be the one talking about me,” continued. “Now is the time to bring this journey to its end. I’ve always said that there would not be any other team after Barca. And that’s how it will be.”

Gerard Pique started playing football at the age of 10 and always enjoyed his sport. In the video, he has also given an inside look at his personal life, especially of his child. During this emotional video which was of 2 minutes, he revealed and said:

“About what little Gerard would have thought if he had been told that all of his dreams would come true. That he would make it to Barca’s first team. That he would win every trophy possible. That he would become European Champion and World Champion.”

He continued: “That he would play alongside the best players in history. That he would become one of the team’s captains. That he would make friends for life.”

Coming to his personal life then he and Shakira were in a happy relationship for some years till the time of the decision to separate. The separation came after the cheating scandal of Gerard came publicly.

Soon after he was seen with his girlfriend while on the other hand, Shakira struggled to cope with her career and the controversies related to court and Taxes.
