Blackpink Agency YG Entertainment Responds to Jisoo’s Health

BLACKPINK, which consists of four members Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa is one of the most famous South Korean girl bands all over the world. They have fans from almost every part of the world. At present, the group is busy with their world tour schedule.

Not long ago, a picture related to Jisoo from their world tour was going viral on the internet and the BLINKS were getting concerned about their artist. In the picture, there appears to be a lump-like structure on the neck of Jisoo which made her fans worry about her health.

Concerns were raised among Blinks regarding the health of Jisoo. When the photo started to get viral, Blackpink’s agency YG Entertainment came forward to give a statement related to this.

They said, “Jisoo is handling the world tour schedule well and there is nothing wrong with her health.” After hearing the official statement passed by the agency itself, the netizens’ were satisfied.

Jisoo is a South Korean singer and actress who is best known as one of the members of the k-pop girl band Blackpink. Jisoo began her acting career in 2015 with a cameo role in the series ‘The Producers’ and she had her first lead role in the JTBC series ‘Snowdrop‘ (2021–22). With this role, she added another star to her achievements.

In the recent 17th Seoul International Drama Awards that was held on September 22, 2022, Jisoo won the ‘Outstanding Korean Actress’ award for her role in “Snowdrop.” In yearly surveys done by Gallup Korea, Jisoo was voted as the 10th most popular K-pop idol in 2018 and the 17th in 2019.

In a survey of South Korean soldiers completing their mandatory military service, Jisoo was listed as the sixth most popular female K-pop idol in 2019. Along with band member Rosé, she is the third most followed K-pop idol on Instagram as of February 2021.

Jisoo was included among the top ten influencers and celebrities in the cosmetics industry for the first five months of 2020.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, a trade publication for the fashion business, Jisoo had the highest average engagement per post, followed by Rihanna and Kylie Jenner. Despite having the fewest posts—just 12 in total—she came in seventh overall. The only East Asian on the list was Jisoo.
