Ex Lightsum Member Jian Dedicates A Handwritten Letter to Her Fans.

Former member Jian of the group LIGHTSUM pens down an emotional letter for her fans after departing from the group. The group originally consisted of eight members but in October 2022, Huiyeon and Jian departed the group.

At present, the group has a total of six members: Sangah, Chowon, Nayoung, Hina, Juhyeon, and Yujeong. On June 10, 2021, the group made its debut with the release of Vanilla, their first single album.

Last week, Jian announced her departure from the group. She even opened a personal Instagram account to greet her followers. She wrote a letter as her first post in which she thanked LIGHTSUM’s fans SUMIT for their unending support of her and the band.

“Hello SUMIT. It’s Jian.

You must have been surprised by the sudden news. I’ve been thinking about what I should say to the fans and I’ve decided to do that through a letter.

I debuted in a group called ‘Lightsum’ when I was in 3rd grade in middle school and now I’m a high school student. It’s all because of SUMIT that I was able to grow through so many experiences in a short span of time and receive so much love as well.

To the SUMIT who came a long way to see the stages, who came to see me even on hot and rainy days and always gave me warm words of support; to the SUMIT overseas who supported me from afar through all the letters and video calls.

I’ll never forget these precious moments we’ve shared together. Of course, there were times when I was exhausted and going through difficulties, yet I was able to endure them all only because of your support and now about a year and four months later, I have become a stronger person I believe.

I don’t think this is the end. I won’t give up on my dream and I will keep pursuing it. I believe I can meet you again someday, somewhere. I know you are concerned about me but I really hope that this doesn’t cause you to worry about me.

Thank you so much for making unforgettable and beautiful memories that I’ll always cherish. I’ll never forget about SUMIT so please don’t think this is the end of our stories.

Thank you so much SUMIT for loving me and I hope to count on your support in the future. Thank you.”
