Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, or Scott Lang, was last seen in Avengers: Endgame when they vanquished Thanos with practically every living character in the MCU.

Cassie (Kathryn Newton), Scott’s daughter, has built a satellite that transmits a message into the quantum world. Janet van Dyne, Hope’s mother, is terrified (Michelle Pfeiffer). She has spent decades living in the small universe and knows its dangers.

How is He Who Remains related to the sequel trilogy? We have you covered right here. If it doesn’t clarify, Majors has stated that the two characters are distinct: “Not in Ant-Man is He Who Remains. Kang is here.”

Sure enough, the family is quickly drawn into the quantum world. But, unfortunately, they meet a slew of shady characters there, including Kang the Conqueror, who promises to help them go home in exchange for their aid in what is sure to be a sinister conspiracy.

You’ve almost hit the jackpot if you believe Kang’s home looks like a cross between Wakanda and ancient Egypt. But, what the time-traveling villain lacks in physical superpowers, he makes up for with genius-level intelligence and a vast armory of weapons across space and time.

Online speculation has been widespread that Ant-Man will get stepped on by a Kang-sized figurative boot in the future film, but we will know the destiny of the ant clan once the film reaches theaters in February 2023.
