In 1839, Edgar Allan Poe’s story “The Fall of the House of Usher and Other Tales” was published for the first time in Burton’s Gentleman’s Magazine. The short story was eventually published in Allen Poe’s collection of short stories, Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque.

Edgar Allan Poe’s writings serve as the basis for this drama, which also explores themes of madness, family, solitude, and metaphysical identities.

The narrative of The Fall of the House of Usher is provided by a man who has been asked to go see Roderick Usher, a childhood friend.

Usher eventually reveals that Madeline, his identical twin sister, has been kept alive but stored in the family vault.

When she reappears, she is draped in a bloodstained shroud, and the visitor hastily evacuates the building before it collapses and sinks into a lake.

Who Is Mike Flanagan?

Mike Flanagan is a film director and producer from the United States who is also a partner in Intrepid Pictures. Critics have praised Flanagan’s films for their direction and absence of jump scares.

He has received accolades from people like William Friedkin, Quentin Tarantino, and Stephen King. The horror movies that Flanagan directed, wrote, and edited are what he is best known for.

Flanagan was born in the year 1978 in the city of Salem, in the state of Massachusetts. The family frequently relocated because his father was a member of the United States Coast Guard. Even though Flanagan only spent a short time in Salem, it had an impact on him, and he continued to be fascinated with the Salem witch trials and related subjects like ghost stories and horror literature.

In the end, Flanagan relocated to Maryland, where he attended Archbishop Spalding High School and Towson University. He earned his degree in theatre with a minor in electronic media and film.
