Kim Seol-hyun aka Seol-hyun is a South Korean actress and singer. She is one of the members of the South Korean girl group AOA. On October 20 it was announced that Seolhyun is departing with FNC Entertainment after 10 years.

On October 20, FNC Entertainment released an official statement regarding the valediction of Seolhyun from the agency:

“Hello, this is FNC Entertainment.

Following an extensive discussion and conversation with Seolhyun, FNC Entertainment has agreed to cease our management work (with Seolhyun).

Seolhyun, an artist who represents FNC Entertainment, has made an impression since her debut in 2012 in different professions.

We want to express our appreciation to Seolhyun for believing in us and sticking by us for so long, as well as to all of the fans who never stopped to show their love and support towards the singer.

We kindly request your unwavering love and support for Seolhyun as she gets ready to embark on a new beginning. The agency will continue to sincerely support Seolhyun’s activities moving forward.

Along with this, it was also reported that on October 20, it was revealed that Seolhyun had met with IEUM HASHTAG to discuss establishing an exclusive agreement with the business.

One of the representatives of IEUM HASHTAG expressed, “It’s true that we had a meeting with Seolhyun and discussed the matter of an exclusive contract with her. We hope to deliver good news in the future.”

The group AOA with the release of the single album “Angel’s story” made its debut in July 2012. In June 2014, the group launched its first EP. In addition to this, they also made their Japan debut under Universal Music Japan.

After its release, “Heart Attack” shot to the top of a number of charts and became one of the most downloaded songs of 2015, as well as had one of the longest charting single runs on the Melon top 100 lists.
