Lindsay Lohan Returning with Falling For Christmas

First, news of Cameron Diaz’s retirement and now teen star Lindsay Lohan is returning in a Christmas Rom-Com opposite Glee alum Chord, Overstreet.

The announcement sent the internet into an excited frenzy, with fans around the world celebrating the return of The Parent Trap alum. It’s only fitting that her big comeback is in a film of this caliber.

Lohan treats her like a second skin – a spoiled hotel heiress! With a resume that includes Just My Luck, Mean Girls, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and Georgia Rule, she’ll have no problem playing a spoiled hotel heiress in Falling for Christmas.

The film’s description says Lohan’s character suffers a skiing accident in the days before Christmas, causing amnesia. He then ends up in the care of a laborer (Overstreet) and his daughter.

Lohan also lives for the moment, telling Tudum that it’s such a refreshing, heartwarming romantic comedy and I miss making movies like that. According to her, her character Sierra is three things: Extravagant, Temperamental, and Charming.

Netflix also released a first look at the film, and every frame shows Lohan looking healthy and happy. Her announcement tweet received more than 130,000 likes and more than 15,000 retweets on Twitter, with fans of the November 10 film showing their support.

Earlier this year, she also shared a teaser via her Instagram feed ahead of the big poster reveal. The video contains the list of Netflix for 2022.

Lohan stars in another romantic comedy for Netflix that is set for a later release date, though this one has a supernatural twist. Irish Wish is the story of a bridesmaid who wishes for true love to come true in the form of becoming a bride. It also stars Ayesha Curry and Jane Seymour. The same director of Falling for Christmas, Janeen Damian, will steer the wheels of the new film Irish Wish.
