YG Entertainment Backs Jennie After Leaked Photos Controversy

YG Entertainment, Blackpink’s agency, has finally replied to Jennie’s violation of privacy incident. They released a statement in response to the event, revealing that legal action had been initiated against the initial distributor.

This comes only days after Big Hit issued a statement about the speculations surrounding V and Jennie, and Blackpink’s management, YG Entertainment, has followed suit. The agency stated that they are pursuing legal action against the individual who disclosed her personal photos and is investigating the source of the leak.

After fans raised their worries over the invasion of privacy of Blackpink member Jennie, the group’s agency, YG Entertainment, has finally replied to the complaints and stated that it will take legal action against individuals who have exposed members to Jennie’s personal images.

“We have formally asked that the authorities investigate the initial distributor of BLACKPINK Jennie’s personal images,” the statement said. After gathering information, we monitored the situation and filed our complaint in September.”

“YG has refrained from speaking and expressing our views in the past to limit the damage,” it continued.

However, we felt a feeling of duty that we could no longer condone the widespread circulation of gossip, criticism, personal assaults, sexual harassment, and privacy violations that came with the personal images. As a result, we’d like to make it clear that we’re pursuing legal action to correct the problem.”

There have been other incidents like this, ranging from her purported romance rumors with BTS’ V, which went much too far off the tracks in the last month, to her leaked photos. Her phone was hacked at one time, followed by a photo, supposedly a selfie of Jennie in a bathtub. The disclosure sparked widespread indignation.

Jennie

On October 3, YG Entertainment issued a statement detailing the steps they had taken against the leaker. They verified that the situation had been reported to the authorities and that a case had been filed against the initial distributor of Jennie’s personal images.

YG stated that they will take “severe legal action” over posts intended to harm the musicians’ image.

For months, claimed images of BTS’ V (born Kim Taehyung) and Jennie had circulated on the internet, fueling speculation that the two K-Pop singers were enjoying secret vacations together and had been photographed in a variety of locales. While ARMY and Blinks strongly denied the rumors and demonstrated that it was primarily photo-shopped, V and Jennie remained mum on the matter.

Big Hit issued a statement last week, without identifying V or Jennie, stating that they will be initiating legal action.

Kim Seokin ka Jin, BTS’s eldest member, also reacted to the reports and slammed the ‘haters,’ alleging that they were looking for trouble. He said, “What did the haters do to be sent to prosecutors?” He added, “They’re asking for problems.”

BTS ARMY responded to the news, with one saying, “happy that Hybe/Bighit is striving to catch those crooks while also preserving the privacy of the Bangtan boys (something YG couldn’t do).”
