Marvel Studios Blade Release Date And All Latest Details!!!

Blade Update: The forthcoming Blade film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been temporarily put on hold, despite the fact that we have been eagerly awaiting it for a very long time. The film that will finally include the well-known vampire hunter in the MCU was written by Watchmen author Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who was hired by Marvel to create the screenplay.

Marvel has recruited Bassam Tariq to serve as the project’s director. Most people probably know Tariq from his work on Mogul Mowgli. The first Blade film announcement took place in July 2019 at San Diego Comic-Con. The film’s announcement and the fact that Mahershala Ali, a multiple Oscar winner, would play the lead role were made by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

Although the film is still in its early stages and not much is known about it, we do have a few important details to reveal about the upcoming MCU film. So, we’ve compiled all the information we currently have about the upcoming Blade film, including storyline and casting information, as well as updates on filming and release dates.

Marvel Studios Blade Release Date

On October 12, 2022, Marvel Studios made the announcement that they would be halting production on the Blade film. It will now make its debut on September 6, 2024. It was previously expected to hit theaters on November 3, 2023. The film will be a part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as The Multiverse Saga, and its 2023 release date was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2022.

Mahershala Ali, who will appear in the film, and producer Kevin Feige made the formal announcement of the movie at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 together. It is anticipated that shooting will start at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America, in the month of October 2022. Additionally, it is said that filming is going to take place in Morocco, New Orleans, and Cleveland.

Major Casts In The Marvel Studios Blade

The following cast members have been officially announced for Blade by Marvel Studios.

1. Mahershala Ali will play the character of Blade/Eric Cross Brooks

As is well known, the actor Mahershala Ali, who has won two Academy Awards, has been selected for the lead part of Blade, the half-vampire daywalker who patrols the Marvel universe in search of creatures of the night.

Ali has a history as a superhero, having previously played the antagonist Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film and in the Netflix-exclusive Marvel series Luke Cage. It appears that Ali played a key role in securing the production of the Blade revival.

Blade

Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel, claims that after winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Green Book, Ali called him to schedule a meeting and then pitched the idea of a Blade film in which he would star.

Delroy Lindo will also play an unnamed character in the upcoming Blade reboot alongside Mahershala Ali. At the end of the previous year, Lindo was in final talks to join Ali in Blade, but it’s not clear what his role will be. Other than this, no other cast members have been revealed as of yet.

Story Details Of Blade

No plot information about Blade has been announced or even hinted at. However, most of the film is probably going to follow Eric as an established and skilled hunter. It will also include some of Blade’s history and how he came to be a vampire slayer.

This would enable the movie to explain Blade’s past appearances in the MCU. The actual plot of Blade will probably depend on which of the many supernatural bad guys Marvel forces him to face in his debut film.
