Blackpink’s Song Surpasses 300M Over YouTube.

The world-famous k-pop girl group, Blackpink was formed by YG Entertainment and consists of four members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The group made its debut in August 2016 with the release of their single album Square One, which included the songs “Whistle” and “Boombayah,” which became their first number-one entries on the US Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and the South Korean Gaon Digital Chart, respectively.

The music video for BLACKPINK’s special partnership with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, which features the four members’ 3D avatars, surpassed 100 million views on YouTube at around 10:53 a.m. KST on October 8.

It took little over two months, eight days, and 21 hours to accomplish the milestone since BLACKPINK first made the “Ready For Love” music video available on July 29 at 1 p.m. KST.

Following “BOOMBAYAH,” “Playing with Fire,” “Whistle,” “As If It’s Your Last,” “Stay,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” “How You Like That,” “Lovesick Girls,” “Pink Venom,” “Ice Cream,” and “Shut Down,” “Ready For Love” is BLACKPINK’s 13th full-group music video to reach the 100 million milestones on YouTube.

Blackpink has also topped Billboard’s Emerging Arists Chart.

On October 8 at around 3:10 p.m. KST, the music video for “On The Ground” passed 300 million views. It was released on March 12, 2021, at 2 p.m. KST, which is roughly one year, six months, and 26 days ago. At the time of its release, “On The Ground” broke records for the fastest Korean female soloist music video to reach 100 million views, doing it in just over a week, as well as for the most 24-hour debut views for a K-pop soloist music video.

The official Instagram page of Blackpink posted the picture celebrating the surpass of 100 million views of “Ready For Love” and Rosé’s “On The Ground” 300 million on YouTube for the album.

Often referred to as the “biggest girl group in the world,” Blackpink is the most popular Korean girl group on the international stage. They are the highest-charting female Korean act on the Billboard Hot 100. They were the first girl group from Korea to enter and top Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart as well as the first girl group from any country to top Billboard’s Artists 100.
