Bette Midler Gave Taylor Henderson the Sweetest Advice for Hocus Pocus 2

Sistahs! Bette Midler gave some of her greatest advice to the actor who played Young Winifred in Hocus Pocus 2, who played the next generation of Sanderson sisters.

“Bette recommended that I become the character even more than I believe is required. In an interview that was published on Thursday, October 6, Taylor Henderson, who portrayed the younger version of the oldest witch, said that “bigger is always better with her.”

“She advised using what Winifred already has in order to create the persona, such as the hair, the hands, and the teeth,” Oh my God! When I initially installed her teeth, that was a huge step toward making her a better person for both of us.

She said that she “watched Hocus Pocus every Halloween for as long as I can remember,” but after landing an audition for the sequel, the Evil Lives Here star watched the film over 40 more times to properly prepare for her role. The 15-year-old girl got the part in September of 2021 and revealed that she “watched Hocus Pocus every Halloween for as long as I can remember.”

The actress from Texas spent the better part of two months studying the performance of Bette Midler, who is now 76 years old, in the 1993 version of the film. During this time, she focused on Midler’s on-screen mannerisms as well as her personality and relationships with the characters Mary (Kathy Najimy) and Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker).

“When you see the first movie, there is something about Winifred that you notice, and that is the strange thing that she is doing with her hands, with her fingers beside her face. Regarding her character analysis, Henderson said, “I felt it was incredibly necessary to include it in since clearly, she does it a lot,” “Winnie is always on the go.

She is always present in every location. She meddles in everything and everyone’s affairs. She has a tremendous amount of affection for her sisters. Therefore, I concentrated a lot of my efforts there since I believe it was a really significant factor.

The Sanderson sisters are seen in Hocus Pocus 2, which takes place 30 years after the first movie, returning to Salem after two friends, Becca (Whitney Peak) and Izzy (Melissa Escobedo), accidentally light the black flame candle. The Sanderson sisters are played by Melissas Peak and Escobedo, respectively. The girls need to figure out a means to prevent the child-seeking witches from performing a ritual that would grant them absolute power by the time the sun rises.

The subsequent movie offers viewers a look into the past lives of the Sanderson sisters before they were transformed into dangerous witches, as well as an explanation of the circumstances that led to their transformation.
