Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless Review, and More

Published by

Most tasks are handled correctly by the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless. It has excellent battery life that should last you through several gaming sessions, is comfy, and has a variety of fantastic gaming-specific functions.

However, the sound is a touch too neutral for gaming purposes. If only it were a little bit less expensive.

Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless Design

The Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 comprises plastic ear cups with fabric-covered extra comfort cushions and a robust steel headband with an elastic headband strap. The rotating ear cups may be adjusted in height, and the headband strap fastens to fixed points inside the headband.

The headset is exceptionally lightweight at 0.72 pounds. The Nova Pro’s AirWeave delivers relatively less passive noise-cancellation than the leatherette, but only slightly.

On the PC/Xbox versions, the right earcup features the power button, Bluetooth, and ChatMix wheel on the PC/Xbox versions. A USB-C port is also available for charging. A volume dial, a microphone mute switch, and a wired 3.5mm audio jack are all located on the left earcup.

Price and Availability

Steelseries

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless, which hit the market in late August 2022, is not the most affordable Nova gaming headset from SteelSeries. That distinction belongs to the considerably simpler Arctis 1, which costs $59 AU$69. And although it’s not the most expensive headset, at $179, it will cost you a fair price.

Battery life

SteelSeries’ considerable increase in battery life to 38 hours of play now allows for a day and a half of gameplay without thinking about charging.

Moreover, you may listen to mixed audio for a remarkable 26 hours while using Bluetooth simultaneously. And owing to the USB-C rapid charging features, putting it in for 15 minutes will give you six hours of music when you need to charge it.

Performance

Steelseries

There are headphones and headsets with amplified lows and highs that sound more enjoyable. Even if the low-ends are quieter than we want, they are enough for you to sense them. The mids are also perfectly balanced. The high-end, though, is complex, if a little veiled.

Everything is audible and audible as intended. Unfortunately, it can’t compete with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless’ sharper, punchier sound. However, once your ears become accustomed to the more neutral tone, it provides realistically immersive music.

Along with audio quality, mic quality is essential when purchasing a headset. The boom mic sounds loud, clear, and present, with a slight speech compression. Essentially, that sounds great. It detects background noise but not at an annoying level or interferes with others’ ability to hear your voice. Additionally, AI noise cancellation is offered through the software.

Conclusion

SteelSeries continues to push the limits of what a headset can do. With the inclusion of simultaneous Bluetooth audio, you can listen to music, podcasts, or talk with your Discord pals across various devices without sacrificing game audio – all with a single set of headphones.

The Arctis Nova 7’s revised design is elegant and light, and it remains one of the comfiest headsets I’ve ever used.

However, the seamless integration of hardware and software via the Sonar platform allows you to enjoy audio in your games like never before.
