We already heard a lot of Samsung Galaxy S23 leaks and speculations far before the device’s scheduled release date – but that reflects how eager people are for the follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy S22.
Date of release for the Samsung Galaxy S23
The Samsung Galaxy S23 will most likely be launched in February 2023. We say ‘probably’ not because of any leaks but because, except for the Samsung Galaxy S21 (revealed in January 2021), new models in the line have been continuously introduced in February for years.

It could be equivalent to the Samsung Galaxy S22 in terms of price, which starts at $799 / AU$1,249. That’s the exact launch pricing of the Galaxy S21. Thus Samsung may choose this three years in a row, though the price may rise slightly.

Design
In terms of appearance, the Galaxy S23 series may be influenced by the Galaxy S22, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, in particular, appearing quite similar to its predecessor.
The smartphone will measure 6.43 x 3.07 x 0.35 inches, slightly above the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 6.42 x 3.06 x 0.35 inches. This time, the two smallest rear camera sensors may be flush with the back of the phone, and the metal lens covers may be significantly bigger.
The screen will have some upgrades, such as improved HDR, a better peak brightness, and increased color accuracy, but it will remain 6.8 inches in size.

Camera Features and Battery Life
We’ve previously heard a lot about the cameras, including the possibility of a 200MP camera on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. We’ve also just heard a second and a third time that a 200MP sensor is in the works, so this looks quite possible.
Another source indicates that the selfie camera will have a 12MP resolution, up from 10MP on the S22, which would be a little but appreciated upgrade. However, another rumor says that the Galaxy S23 will not include an under-display camera.
Apart from the camera, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra would have a 5,000mAh battery, although the standard S23 will continue to use 25W charging like its predecessor.

Gizmochina
According to one report, at least in some countries, Samsung may employ a MediaTek chipset in the Samsung Galaxy S23 line. This would be a major change from previous models, which had featured Snapdragon or Exynos chips – frequently both, with various areas receiving different makes.
That estimate has been backed up by one of the finest phone experts; the S23 series will utilize its chipsets internationally (though with language that provides some wiggle room), so the Galaxy S23 looks likely to go all in with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 engine.
Indeed, a source has now confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is being used.
