Olivia Rodrigo Looks Gorgeous in Chic Lace Slip Dress.

Olivia Rodrigo exits the Bowery Ballroom after a concert in New York City. The 19-year-old singer/actress walked out of the event wearing a stunning lace slip dress and straight to a waiting vehicle.

Olivia will be in Toronto, Canada, this week to induct Alanis Morissette into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, in case you missed the news.

She donned a short black satin gown with lace detailing down the low-cut neckline outlining the cups of her breast. The short skirt stopped high above the knee, showcasing her long legs, and she wore it with clunky black shoes and white crew socks.

The pop singer was at the Bowery Ballroom with a group of friends to see artist Chappell Roan perform. Rodrigo wore her long dark hair down and slung a leather purse over one shoulder. Her makeup was simple, with a splash of color and a vivid red lip. She grinned as she went by cameras and signed autographs for admirers.

On Tuesday, it was announced that  Olivia Rodrigo will induct Alanis Morisette into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame on September 24 at Toronto’s Massey Hall. Rodrigo spoke to the organization about Morisette’s effect on her as a musician in a statement.

“I recall hearing Alanis for the first time around the age of 13.” “I was driving with my folks when Jagged Little Pill came on,” she explained.

“I heard ‘Perfect,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, my God…'” she said. ‘Can you make songs like that?’ “I suddenly looked at music and songwriting in a whole new light.”

This year’s inductees also include Bryan Adams, David Foster, Jim Vallance, and Daniel Lavoie. Alessia Cara, JP Saxe, and Ruby Waters are among the Canadian performers who will pay homage to Morissette’s songs.

For Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians edition, the two singer-songwriters interviewed each other. Morisette’s album Jagged Little Pill, like Rodrigo’s album Drivers License, is about a major breakup. They share many characteristics, including the fact that neither of them reads anything about themselves.

“I stopped reading stuff around the age of 22 because it wasn’t really relevant to my personal growth and progress,” Morissette said to her younger protégé. “I had enough individuals around me who, whether I wanted them to or not, would point out blind spots.”
