The character of Choi Sang Eun played by Park Min Young is quite interesting. She plays the role of a woman who is in her 30s and has been divorced a dozen times. The character of Choi Sang-eun is not a difficult person to live with. It’s just that each of her weddings is a legal transaction.

For a predetermined fee, she will act as someone’s wife, which frequently involves completing paperwork and going down the aisle. She will wed clients in an effort to conceal the fact that they are actually not interested in getting married, she marries them just to please their friends, or to make their grandparents happy.

She is a contract wife who creates a successful company out of her willingness to accept payment in exchange for the right to work as a life partner. Everything between the couple happens as per the terms of the contract. When the marriage has fulfilled its intended purpose, Sang-eun returns home and obtains an uncontested divorce.

The series opens up a different perspective of human views. In general, marriage is seen as something that is pious and in this series, one will see it as a mode of being independent. The first episode of the show introduces us to the characters Choi Sang-eun and Jung ji-ho.

The second episode introduces the third major character Kang Hae-jin. Sang-eun also known as Jamie is Hae-jin’s first love but he sees her as the wife of Ji-ho. But afterward, he finds their relationship a little suspicious so he tries to keep an eye on Ji-ho and as a result of one day Hae-jin sees him practicing knife.

This incident shocks him and he assumes Ji-ho to be a murderer. In the next episode, we will see whether Ji-ho is really a murderer not.

This series makes its viewers understand that a person can live their life as per their choice and still be happy.

Choi Sang-eun doesn’t marry different men just to earn money but she genuinely helps people in a different way.

The path she takes up to earn a living is different from others but is not wrong. She doesn’t lie or cheat anyone, everything is done as per contract, and when the purpose is fulfilled the contract is terminated.

The drama makes a turn at every moment, something new always unfolds. The drama’s premise is fun and bubbly but there are also some dark elements to the narrative.
