Corsair HS55 Wireless Core: A High-quality and Extremely Adjustable Wireless Headset

Published by

Corsair HS55 Wireless Core: The headset is fantastic, and if you look closely at most Corsair items, you’ll see that it’s comparable to the design of the HS65 (wired) introduced last year. However, the metal mesh back has been replaced with an engraved disc, giving the headset a closed-back style to the ear cups.

The scope of delivery for the Corsair HS 55 Wireless Core

We’ve seen the yellow cardboard box with black writing on other manufacturers’ peripherals. On the front, it already talks about the most significant characteristics of the Corsair HS55 Wireless Core.

The headset, an illuminated USB-A wireless receiver, and a two-meter USB-A to USB-C charging cable are all included. Safety and warranty information finish out the package, and Corsair does not provide a manual – but you don’t need one because the usage is self-explanatory.

Design

  • High-quality, elegant design
  • Microphone with mute/unmute switch
  • High-quality design

In terms of design, the Corsair HS55 Wireless Core is similar to previous versions, such as the HS65. That means a mostly matte-black, aristocratic exterior with a grooved, shining region on the outside where the manufacturer’s logo is inscribed centrally.

We enjoy the understated appearance, mainly because the design is well-thought-out and the craftsmanship is of good quality. A robust metal frame supports the ear cups; they fold inward and are flexible enough to offer a comfortable fit.

Autonomy and Comfort

We come closest to the HS65 in terms of comfort. He begins by taking advantage of its modest weight of 266 grams. You won’t feel uncomfortable wearing it all day long.

The same can be said for the memory foam ear cups and headband cushioning, which make them exceptionally pleasant to use for extended periods. Also, the headband is simply adjustable, making it suitable for various skull sizes.

Even though this technique will not appeal to everyone, the flexible microphone is more practical. However, putting the stem straight back, so it doesn’t disturb you once it’s back up towards the helmet might aggravate long-term, even if the “mute” button prevents permanent adjustments as with other models.

The Corsair HS55 Wireless Core not only allows us to wear it for an extended period but also provides us with the money to do so, thanks to more than ample autonomy. Based on our (regular and continuous) usage, the helmet easily lasts a full day and maybe even longer if you neglect to recharge it.

The label specifies 24 hours of usage on a full charge, which corresponds to our estimations. Another noteworthy feature is its ability to recharge fast.

Audio and microphone performance

Articlezon

The Corsair HS55 Wireless Core’s audio is powered by custom-designed neodymium speakers with a diameter of 50 mm and an impedance of 32 ohms, spanning a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

The arrangement is familiar from the manufacturer’s HS65, which pleasantly surprised us in the test around a year ago. Fortunately, the new model is not inferior, with a rich, detailed, and well-balanced sound. Only the trebles are slightly in the background, but they still stand out.

Conclusion of the Corsair HS55 Wireless Core

The headset’s sound is equally compelling in wireless and Bluetooth mode, with a rich, clear, and detailed sound across all genres. The build and appearance are highly appealing, and the wearing comfort is excellent unless you have large ears and a large head.

Of course, owing to the wireless standard, you must tolerate a few quality limitations in the microphone. However, the quality is still more than enough, especially for audio conversations or video calls.

The Corsair HS55 Wireless Core is a cohesive overall package for anybody searching for a compelling wireless gaming headset at a suggested retail price of roughly 9500 rupees.
