The Pinocchio online release date from Guillermo del Toro has been announced by Netflix, more than a month after the first decent look at the movie was provided.
Pinocchio, sometimes known as Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, is a forthcoming stop-motion animated musical drama film that del Toro and Mark Gustafson will co-direct. Del Toro and Patrick McHale will pen the screenplay.
The Adventures of Pinocchio, an Italian tale by Carlo Collodi published in 1883, is the inspiration for del Toro’s debut animated feature film as a director. It has an illustration by Gris Grimly from the book’s 2002 version.
The popular fantasy story by Carlo Collodi is regarded as having a darker tone than Del Toro’s Pinocchio, which also has a musical component to its plot.
When Pinocchio was first announced in 2008, it was put on hold because of several problems with the project.
Pinocchio was rescued by Netflix when the streaming service purchased the rights to the film, and the release of the movie is now just a few short months away. Here is an updated summary of all the information we currently know about the animation project that will debut on Netflix in December 2022.

Del Toro announced in December 2021 that it would be released in the final three months of 2022. After the first prologue of the movie was released in January and July of 2022, a December release date was confirmed.
On July 30, 2012, it was also revealed that ShadowMachine would produce and animate the movie. It was initially intended to be launched in 2013 or 2014; however, the project entered a protracted period of inactivity due to poor development.

Story Details Of The Film
Variety
Although the narrative of Pinocchio is well known, Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro has given the old tale a fresh look and feel. Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, which is set in Italy under Benito Mussolini’s rule, transforms Carlo Collodi’s original Italian story through del Toro’s recognizable gothic lens.
The plot of this movie is an adaptation of the well-known Carlo Collodi classic about a wooden puppet with a genuine boy’s wish who comes to life in 1930s fascist Italy. But when Pinocchio comes to life, he shows himself to be the complete opposite—a mischievous youngster who plays cruel jokes.
But Pinocchio is essential “a narrative of love and disobedience as Pinocchio fights to live up to his father’s expectations, learning the true meaning of life,” according to the movie’s synopsis.
