Death Race 2000 (1975)-

Paul Bartel’s sci-fi action movie ‘Death Race 2000’ deals with a dystopian society of the year 2000 where the fatal Transactional Road Race has turned into national entertainment.

Stallone plays the role of a Chicago tough guy gangster named Joe Viterbo, known as Machine Gun. The movie was released on April 27, 1975, in the US.

Rocky (1976)-

As the first installment of the Rocky franchise, this movie introduces Rocky Balboa who is a small-time club fighter. The uneducated Rocky’s life alters when he gets the unlikely chance of entering the heavyweight world championship of Apollo Creed.

Stallone portrays the character of Rocky who was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay. The movie was released in the US on December 3, 1976.

First Blood (1982)-

This is the first Rambo movie in which Stallone has starred in the role of John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran along with co-stars Richard Crenna and Brian Dennehy.

After being introduced as Rambo in this film, Stallone will be seen reprising his role in the next Rambo franchise films. The movie was released on October 22, 1982, in the United States.

Cobra (1986)-

This action drama is written by Stallone who also starred in the film in the titular leading role. The role he played in the movie is of Lieutenant Marion Cobretti who is mostly known as Cobra.

This is a buddy cop action comedy movie in which Stallone is seen to portray the role of the titular Raymond Tango co-starring with Kurt Russell as Gabriel Cash where both of them are rival LAPD narcotics detectives who, after being framed for murder by a criminal mastermind, become compelled to work together.

David Callaham’s action movie casts Stallone as Barney Ross, the leader of a group of elite mercenaries called the Expendables. It is the first installment of The Expendables movie series.

This is the sports drama movie which later was followed by a sequel named ‘Creed II’. This movie itself serves as a sequel to the 2006 film ‘Rocky Balboa’ from the Rocky film series, becoming the seventh one of the franchise.

Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Rocky Balboa in the movie that was released on November 25, 2015, in the US. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Academy Award 2016 for this role.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)-

Based on the superhero team called Guardians of the Galaxy of Marvel Comics, the film is the fifteenth installment of MCU and a sequel to the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie of 2014.

Sylvester Stallone is introduced in the film by playing Stakar Ogord who is a high-ranking Ravager with a grudge against Yondu. The movie was released on May 5, 2017, in the US.
