In the fall of 2022, “LiSA Another Great Day,” a documentary that tracks the anisong singer LiSA’s debut decade, will be available to stream globally on Netflix. This will be a Japanese solo artist’s first Netflix original documentary.
The solo debut 10-year project “LiiiiiiiiiiSA,” which has been ongoing since April 2021, will conclude with this documentary. It will closely follow LiSA’s days and provide a close-up view of her actual face, which can only be seen in this context.
The film’s director is Takatoshi Sado, a renowned TV producer and documentary filmmaker best known for his work on NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen.
He stated, “LiSA -san is a top star, yet she is a very regular person who experiences anxiety in her daily life. “She encounters problems at work for some reason. But I can always relate to how she overcomes these difficulties and keeps developing every day. I’m glad to show her real face to Netflix subscribers all across the world.”
The documentary, directed by Taketoshi Sado, who most recently oversaw Haruomi Hosono’s U.S. Tour documentary Sayonara America, examines how the “Homura” singer enters a new chapter of her career as she celebrates her tenth anniversary.
The movie shows the artist’s human side as she honestly works to make “every day as good as it can be” in a dynamic setting where the songs and live performances that serve as the core of her career are created.
