Apple iPhone 14 Series: The iPhone 14 is a capable smartphone with a seriously quick CPU, gorgeous screen, and respectable cameras. This reliable, albeit unspectacular iPhone may be for you if you don’t need a large screen and are on a tight budget. It has a few extremely exciting next-generation features that you might never use.
Apple iPhone 14 Series: Price
Similar to the previous year, the 128GB edition of the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999. You won’t hear me grumbling about the fact that price increase rumors turned out to be untrue.
It costs $1,099 for the 256GB model, $1,299 for the 512GB model, and $1,499 for the 1TB model. Additionally, the 128GB version’s 1080p ProRes video restriction means that you might need additional storage space given all of the video features.
It resembles the iPhone 13 Pro somewhat on the surface, but with a bigger camera module. If you didn’t look very closely at those lenses, which are admittedly substantially larger as a result of the changes underneath, you might not be able to tell this phone apart from its predecessor from the rear.
The 14 Pro’s always-on display includes a shaded-out version of your lock screen wallpaper in addition to the time, date, widgets you’ve added, notifications, and other information. Your lock screen’s appearance when displayed as an always-on display might vary greatly depending on how it is configured.
In comparison to their forerunners, these cameras have improved sensors and overall low-light performance. Now that the front camera, which is also 12 MP, has autofocus, taking group selfies should be a little bit simpler. A new imaging pipeline is advantageous for all cameras.
Active Mode is a brand-new feature that can be accessed by choosing the running person icon in the top right corner of the camera app’s viewfinder. This is a remarkably efficient method for minimizing tremors in action videos.
The A16 Bionic CPU, which was first seen in the iPhone 13 Pro, is a brand-new chip that is exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro. This is not the case with the normal iPhone 14, which features the A15 Bionic processor.
No matter what you’re doing, the A16 is incredibly quick, and it helps the A14 Pro and Pro Max excel in every area, including smooth video and gaming and the always-on screen.
I’ve had to put my trust in two new features that are present in the new iPhones (and are also present in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus). One is crash detection, which can notify emergency authorities if you’ve been in a car accident, according to Apple.
We can only hope that none of us will ever need to use this, but knowing that it exists is comforting. Second, there is emergency texting to satellite, which can come in handy if you find yourself in a bind when outside of cellular range.
A 20-hour movie playback time, a 16-hour streaming video time, and an 80-hour audio playback time are all advertised for the iPhone 14. Off of a single charge, the battery lasted longer than a full day.
