Sweet Magnolias Season 3 is now available on Netflix! And given the cliffhanger conclusion, we were given, it’s exactly what we needed to hear. Executive producer Dan Paulson responded to the renewal news with a statement, “We’re pleased to be commencing on our third season for Netflix, and we’re looking forwards to returning to Serenity.”

The cast also helped spread the word on social media, with JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley all posting updates on their accounts.

While there have been significant differences between the plot in the book and what we’ve seen on screen, the series is based on the novel by Sherryl Woods, and there is a tonne more source material for it to draw from.

Season three of Sweet Magnolias was approved in May 2022, according to social media posts from the writers’ room.

Sweet Magnolias Season 3 Filming Status

The cast and crew announced the start of filming for the new episodes on July 18 by sharing a picture of the flowers and the show’s name on the backs of their directors’ chairs. “Shall we begin?” they wrote. “So happy to have everybody home to Serenity for Sweet Magnolias Season 3 filming on day one!”

We still don’t know when the females will return to our screens. Given that the two seasons before it didn’t have a similar release date, it is also challenging to establish a reasonable assumption.

Season one was published in May 2020, and season two premiered in February 2022. (This was primarily due to resistance brought on by the epidemic).
