Mirror, Mirror Releasing Today On Netflix, and All you need to know!!

Published by

Not to be confused with the 2012 fairy tale starring Julia Roberts, Mirror, Mirror (original Spanish title: Espejo, Espejo) is coming to Netflix the next week.

The comedy, which has nothing to do with Snow White despite its title, made its theatrical debut in Spain back in May. It does make an effort to address some pertinent societal concerns by portraying several individuals speaking to themselves in their reflections.

The movie could be approaching topics like s*xuality, identity, and societal pressure in a fresh way. A voyage inside the ridiculous inner conflicts and ideas these folks have is hinted at in the teaser. I’m eager to stream this because I haven’t seen any of Marc Crehuet’s previous work.

More About the Mirror, Mirror 2022

Netflix

The film Mirror, Mirror (2022) tells the story of a woman who discovers that her life is a work of fiction. She must choose between staying in the world she knows or escaping to the real world. The film is a metaphor for the human condition. We are all living in a dream, a simulated reality.

Moreover in 2022, a woman named Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is taken captive by a group of mercenaries led by Eric (Chris Hemsworth). She is then rescued by a man named William (Sam Claflin) who leads her to safety.

After William is killed, Snow White is taken in by a group of dwarves who protect her from the mercenaries. The dwarves teach Snow White how to fight and she eventually defeats the mercenaries, killing Eric in the process.

The cast includes:

  • Malena Alterio
  • Santi Millán
  • Natalia de Molina
  • Carlos Areces
  • Carlos Bardem
  • Betsy Túrnez

We can get a more thorough summary on IMDB: The marketing director, who is almost as old as himself, a 25-year-old ambitious female assistant, her sister who is being pressured to “come out,” and an overweight, insecure 40-year-old administrator are the four employees of a cosmetics company in its 50th year.

It appears to be using an absurdist comedic structure to convey its tale. These folks seem to be conversing not just with themselves but also with their reflections. Is there any evidence of the supernatural in this situation? Do we know ourselves better than we know ourselves?

In conclusion, the trailer is out. The film will be released on Netflix on the 16th of September 2022. And you can watch it online on Netflix.
