Dr. Romantic, a South Korean drama that has been one of the most watched Korean series, is coming back for season 3. Han Suk-kyu plays the titular role in the South Korean television series Dr. Romantic, which also features Yoo Yeon-seok, Seo Hyun-jin and Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Sung-kyung, and Kim Joo-hun in its first and second seasons, respectively.

SBS TV broadcast the first season from November 7, 2016, to January 16, 2017, and the second season from January 6, to February 25, 2020. With ratings above 20%, the first season was well-received. Additionally, the storyline and Han Suk-kyu’s performance also earned favorable reviews.

SBS stated on September 15, 2022, that season 3 of the Korean drama “Dr. Romantic” would be released soon and pick up where the second season left off.

Additionally, it has been reported that similar to Season 2, actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung will appear alongside Han Suk-kyu in the third season. Ahn Hyo-seop gained enormous fame with the K-drama “A Business Proposal,” and Lee Sung-kyung most recently appeared in the K-drama “Shooting Stars.”

Dr. Romantic Season 3 Production Status?

In a statement, the production team stated that “Dr. Romantic is a work that we are very grateful for as it has received great love from viewers every season.

Although two years have passed, the production crew and actors will do their best to prepare for the return of the many people who still remember and wait for ‘Dr. Romantic’. We ask for your interest and anticipation for ‘Dr. Romantic’ which will come back even stronger.”

In South Korea, Dr. Romantic Season 1 had a viewership of 27.6%, and Season 2 finished with a record-breaking 27.1%. In 2023, production on the next episode of the romantic drama, which centers on a group of doctors practicing in the countryside, will begin.

Fans of “Dr. Romantic” have been wishing for a third season ever since Season 2 of the show ended, and it appears that their wishes are now being granted. To the delight of fans, the majority of the cast and crew from the second season will return for a third, as the makers of “Dr. Romantic” have confirmed.

In addition to Han Suk-kyu, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Lee Sung-kyung, the writers and producers of the program will also be back for Season 3.

Fans are anticipating Seo Woo-jin’s return to Doldam Hospital after saying a heartfelt goodbye to his mentor Kim Sa-bu in the heartbreaking conclusion of ‘Dr. Romantic 2’ as the news that Ahn Hyo-seop will be appearing in the third season.
