Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Is Set To Bring Several Familiar Faces From The Africa!

Published by

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to bring several familiar faces from the African nation back into battle against Namor and Talocan, one of whom is Winston Duke’s M’Baku.

After fighting T’Challa in the first Black Panther movie for the throne of Wakanda, M’Baku stepped up to fight for the nation and help them repel Kilmonger.

After T’Challa’s death in Wakanda Forever, M’Baku is expected to play a lead role in the sequel. While details about the extent of his involvement are unknown, the Marvel actor said reading the script was “emotional,” potentially indicating that M’Baku will pay tribute to the former King. of Wakanda in the movie.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever M’Baku’s New Outfit

The new outfit features an upgraded chest patch with a gorilla-like design and more spikes on his forearm protectors. M’Baku’s ceremonial mask was made based on a gorilla, so it seems the great apes influenced his main costume more.

The design also retains the heavy wooden elements, which are hallmarks of the Jabari tribe. Duke also revealed that fans will see even more of Wakanda in the sequel: “What I’m most excited about for fans is that Wakanda is so much more. There’s so much more to it than the first movie, and that’s exciting”.

M’Baku’s new outfit gives him a strong edge ahead of the upcoming fight with Talocan due to the upgrades it includes. In addition to the monkey stick he’s known for, the upgraded chest patch and spiked splints make him a more formidable fighter.

M’Baku’s combat experience has been further enhanced after fighting alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Thanos in the last two Avengers movies, and the Wakandan warrior can use that to better protect the African country.

Also, it’s unclear if this new skin has anything to do with the baboon god introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, it is possible that the sequel will refer to this Easter egg through dialogue or visual cues to strengthen this connection. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on Friday, November 11.
