Why Tom Holland and Zendaya Did Not Do Their Emmys Red Carpet Debut?

Real-life sweethearts and Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya opted not to make their Emmys red carpet debut as a pair this evening. Zendaya attended the ceremony alone, with Holland watching from afar to cheer on his girlfriend and her best leading actress in a drama series nomination.

Zendaya made history by being the youngest-ever two-time acting winner for her portrayal of Rue in Euphoria.

In her acceptance speech, she praised the cast and crew for creating a “safe environment to make this extremely tough show,” before thanking everyone who knew Rue.

Holland, on the other hand, remained silent on social media following her victory. However, his absence was understandable: Holland was filming The Crowded Room in New York City, thus his absence was clearly due to a schedule difficulty.

Zendaya and Tom have kept their relationship quieter in general. Tom was last pictured on site for The Crowded Room two days ago. Zendaya, on the other hand, has been filming Dune 2 in Budapest, Dubai, Jordan, and Italy. Holland recently paid her a visit when she was filming in Budapest.

It should be noted that the pair has previously expressed a wish to keep their relationship discreet. This implies that, while they were glad to pose together for Spider-Man: No Way Home, their co-production, however further red carpet appearances may be few and far between.

In terms of privacy, Holland told GQ last year about the public fascination with their relationship and how he never intended it to be revealed last summer when the two were caught kissing in a vehicle.

“One of the negatives of our celebrity is that privacy is no longer true in our hands, and a moment that you believe is between two people who love each other very much is suddenly shared with the entire world,” Holland added, referring to the video.

“I’ve always been adamant about keeping my private life private since I share so much of my life with the rest of the world.” We felt as if our privacy had been violated.”

The couple has been dating since July 2021, when photos of them kissing in a vehicle surfaced, while fans believe they were together much before.
