Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date & All That We Know So Far!!!

Hocus Pocus 2 Update: After years of rumors, whispers, and hypothetical “what ifs,” a sequel to one of the most well-known and memorable Halloween movies ever, Hocus Pocus, became a reality in December 2020.

So, let’s take a moment to put the cauldron and spellbook aside and talk about the Hocus Pocus 2 release date, a hotly anticipated movie coming our way this year, with the same cast of the three witches in a setting different from 1993.

Although it was not a commercial success when it was released, “Hocus Pocus” has become a much-loved annual custom for the majority of families across the country over the course of its history. If there is one film that screams “Halloween” in American cinema, it is “Hocus Pocus.”

When Max Dennison, a young boy, moves to Salem, he brings back to life three witches despite having no intention of doing so. For quite some time, fans have been asking for a follow-up to this classic Halloween movie. These demands seem to have been considered by one streaming service. Here is all we currently know about “Hocus Pocus 2.”

Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date

On September 30, 2022, Hocus Pocus 2 will become available for streaming on Disney+. Beginning with the release of this picture by Walt Disney Pictures in March 2023, the “Disney 100” castle logo will be used for the first time.

This logo was introduced during the 2022 D23 Expo on September 9, 2022, and it will be used in the celebration of the hundredth anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. The new Disney Studios logo was designed by Industrial Light & Magic in collaboration with Disney Studios.

To go along with the new logo, Christophe Beck created a new version of “When You Wish Upon a Star.” The picture, which was directed by Adam M. Shankman, will include a brand-new cast backing the original three while also bringing back the Sanderson sisters for another cauldron and spells adventure during the Halloween season.

The following is a list of the leading casts and characters who will appear in Hocus Pocus 2:

  2. Kathy Najimy will portray the role of Mary Sanderson
  3. Sarah Jessica Parker will portray the role of Sarah Sanderson

Expected Plotline For Hocus Pocus 2

The original story is centered on three witch sisters who lived in Salem in 1693 and were victimized by a curse. Max Dennison accidentally revived them 300 years later. Despite their best efforts, they find it horrifying that Halloween has become a recognized holiday.

The Sanderson sisters also only have one night to ensure their survival. They not only succeed in their mission but wreak havoc on the city before vanishing into dust. The climax, however, sees the eye of Winnie’s spellbook open, suggesting that the sisters have not entirely gone.

It would be interesting to see how the sisters handle the 21st Century in the sequel, especially given all the technological developments.

Another intriguing premise is the juxtaposition between the past and the present. The scope of the plot is fairly vast, though, so it truly could be taken in a lot of different areas. It is safe to anticipate that the tale will follow a similar arc of resuscitation and subsequent alterations, given the cult reputation of the original film.

Is There A Trailer For Hocus Pocus 2?

On June 28, 2022, the initial teaser trailer was released. In its first 24 hours, the teaser trailer had 43.6 million views, and the hashtag #HocusPocus shot to the top of trends on Twitter.

A first look at Doug Jones as Billy, who had been revived by the Sanderson sisters, was unveiled on August 29, 2022. The official trailer for the movie debuted on September 9, 2022, at the D23 Expo and was afterward made available online.

The D23 trailer transports us back to the 1600s when the three sisters were exiled from Salem at the age of sixteen after being accused of witchcraft.

The sisters, who are scared and alone, are approached by an enigmatic witch who gives them the spell book from the first movie. Almost 400 years later, shopkeeper Gilbert (Sam Richardson) is giving a black candle to a 16-year-old. A glimpse of Binx, a black cat, is also provided.
