Good Nurse Update: Netflix has lately become dedicated to a number of the most popular true-crime productions, and The Good Nurse is the latest. While documentaries such as Girl in the Picture and Recently I Killed My Dad are narrative films, The Good Nurse is based on the actual tale of Charles Cullen.

The Good Nurse will be released in select cinemas on October 19, followed by a week later on Netflix on October 26. However, the film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Krysty Wilson-Cairns wrote the script, which was based on Charles Graeber’s book The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness, and Murder.
Who is in The Good Nurse cast?
Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne portray Amy Loughren and Charles Cullen, accordingly, in The Good Nurse.
Chastain just won an Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in The Eyes of Tammy Faye in 2021, but she is also recognized for appearances in Zero Dark Thirty, The Help, Molly’s Game, and Interstellar. She already has appeared in one film in 2022, the spy-action film The 355, and will star in Armageddon Time before the end of the year.
Redmayne has an Oscar, having won Best Actor for The Theory of Everything. In addition to anchoring the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, the British actress has acted in films such as The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Danish Girl, and Les Miserables.
Kim Dickens, Noah Emmerich, and Nnamdi Asomugha, a former Professional football player who has made the transition to acting, have also acted in films such as Hello, My Name Is Doris, Crown Heights, and Sylvie’s Love.

The Good Nurse is directed by Tobias Lindholm.
Lindholm, who is Danish, has been a writer & director throughout his career.
His screenwriting credentials also include projects like The Hunt and Another Round with Mads Mikkelsen and Thomas Vinterberg, in addition to 2 of his own directing attempts, A Hijacking, and A War.
He previously directed 2 episodes of Netflix’s Mindhunter’s first season.
What Happened To Charles Cullen?
Charles Cullen was a nurse who worked at hospitals in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Cullen was eventually found guilty by his coworker, Amy Loughren, who investigated peculiar facts from Cullen’s job to expose that he was truly responsible for purposely killing patients, as depicted in the film.
Cullen was convicted of murdering 29 victims in 2006 but has now admitted to killing up to 40. However, it is believed that he may have murdered up to 400 patients, making him the most notorious serial murderer in recorded history. Cullen agreed to a plea bargain in order to avoid receiving the death sentence.
A New Jersey judge ordered him to serve 11 consecutive life terms, while a Pennsylvania judge added additional 6 life terms to his sentence. Cullen will not be eligible for release until at least the year 2388.
