Must Watch Series Update: Spanish teen drama series Merlí. Sapere Aude is the spin-off sequel of the TV3 channel’s ‘Merlí’. Héctor Lozano has created the series that centers on a university student Pol Rubio who wants to follow in the footsteps of his high school philosophy teacher Merlí whom he idolizes.

In the character of Merlí we find Francesc Orella reprising his role from Merlí. Spanish actor Carlos Cuevas plays the role of Pol Rubio in the series. Other cast members from the original Merlí. Sapere Aude are David Solans, Ana María Barbany, Boris Ruiz, Assun Planas.

Pablo Capuz, Azul Fernández, María Pujalte are some of the new actors and actresses joining the cast. The first season of the series aired on December 5, 2019, on Movistar+. The Merlí. Sapere Aude Season 2 concluded on May 7, 2021.

The primary cast members of the series are María Pedraza, Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Arón Piper etc. The series premiered on October 5, 2018 with the fifth season airing on April 8, 2022.

Michael Lannan’s comedy series ‘Looking’ is the first ever series on HBO to have the theme of gay men. The plot of the movie revolves around a number of men- video game designer Patrick Murray, his best friend Agustín Lanuez, sommelier Dom Basaluzzo, Dom’s best friend Doris, Patrick’s boss Kevin Matheson who has feelings for him- as they navigate life and relationship.

The plot of the series began with a young handsome carefree stripper Hugo Beltrán whose life alters when he finds himself waking up beside the corpse of the husband of his lover and he is sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment.

A young lawyer Triana Marín visits him seven years later and offers to work together to prove him innocent. Despite their different states of life, the two begin to develop a romantic relationship.

Jesús Mosquera, Cristina Castaño, and María Pedraza play the roles of Hugo, his lover, and the lawyer respectively in the series.

Other cast members are José de la Torre, Carlo Costanzia, Raudel Raúl Martiato, Juanjo Almeida, Pedro Casablanc, María Pujalte, Adelfa Calvo, Miriam Díaz-Aroca, Álex González etc. The series premiered on September 8, 2019.

This Spanish tv series is a romantic comedy surrounding two young men and women Samuel and Carla. Samuel tries to pull off a bold romantic gesture to stop Carla from boarding her flight to London at the airport.

Ester Expósito and Itzan Escamilla portray Carla and Samuel respectively in the series. Other cast members are Nadia Torrijos, Carlota Casado, Sergio San Millán, Ion Iraizoz etc. The series premiered on Netflix on June 17, 2021, in Spain.

Ben York Jones’ American comedy-drama series ‘Everything Sucks!’ is set in 1996 Boring of Oregon. The series focuses on the students of the fictional Boring High School as they attempt to make a movie alongside struggling with issues like mental health, s*xuality, and growing up.

The misfit teenagers of the school join the A/V Club and the Drama Club. Luke O’Neil who is a member of the A/V Club has a crush on the daughter of the principal who is a sophomore in school.

Her name is Kate she is going through some doubt over her sexuality and has a crush on Drama Club’s Emaline, though Emaline is dating another drama student.

Jahi Di’Allo, Peyton Kennedy, Elijah Stevenson, and Sydney Sweeney play Luke, Kate, Oliver, and Emaline respectively in the series. Other cast members are Patch Darragh, Claudine Mboligikpelani, Quinn Liebling, Rio Mangini, Ben York Jones, Jen Taylor, etc. The series premiered on February 16, 2018, on Netflix.
