The Weeknd Loses Voice In Mid-Concert, Cancels Show

Published by

On Saturday night in Los Angeles, The Weeknd called off his show. While playing at SoFi Stadium, the singer stopped the concert to inform the audience that he has lost his voice.

The Weeknd reportedly lost his voice during the second of his two sold-out performances in  Los- Angeles, Saturday night,  and he was on the verge of tears.

The moment the singer informed his audience, was captured on film by a fan named Able  Tesfaye.

The singer said-  I lost my voice as I screamed he added, “I don’t know what just happened.”  “I can’t give you the concert I want to offer you right now, but I don’t want to stop the performance.”

Reportedly, the band began playing “Can’t Feel My Face” the second song for the night to the crowd of the SoFi Stadium which was filled with 70,000  spectators.

The Weeknd, however, did not appear on stage, which caused a little bit of confusion.

It turned out that he was backstage during the song, trying to decide what to do because he had lost his voice.

Apparently, he yelled during the previous song, which blew his vocal cords.

The Weeknd responded to the audience’s disappointment by promising to refund their money and perform again “soon.”

“However, I wanted to publicly apologise rather than just tweeting or posting on Instagram.

I wanted you people to be aware that I am unable to perform…” He went on.

“I’m very sorry, I apologize, and I love you guys so much.”

The singer, however, afterward also issued a message regarding the performance, describing how his “heart fell” as his voice failed.

My sincere apologies to my fans, he said in the tweet.

I’ll make it up to you, I swear, with a new date the singer said.

The Weeknd expressed sincere regret and grief.

He knew how much the concert meant to his fans because it was a significant component of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour.

The crowd was still largely on Weeknd’s side and applauding him for being transparent, which was admirable even after this major error.

However, this isn’t the first roadblock to his tour either; the pandemic caused two previous postponements already.

His schedule is currently jam-packed with performances in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

However, it Is pretty obvious that he wants to make things right for L.A. fans.
