The much-anticipated second season of Netflix’s The Ultimatum is currently in post-production, according to Variety, and will be a ground-breaking sequel to the highly acclaimed first season. Six couples were being followed in the inaugural episode of the will-they-won’t-they program as they debated whether they should get married or just give up and move on.

You may wonder what made “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On” so unique. This show featured couples already together, but each partnership consisted of one person who was prepared for marriage and one who wasn’t.

Before returning to their original partner, the newlyweds had to live for a few days to estimate the experience of having to be married to them. Then, the couples had to select whether they wanted to remain as a pair, go their ways, or continue living together.
Release Date Of The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On (Season 2)
The second season of “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On” may be arriving soon, given that Jarrette Jones acknowledged in the Netflix music video that the cast has already been selected.
Chris Coelen of Kinetic Content also confirmed the possibility that further episodes are now filming and may have begun soon after Season 1’s production wrapped.
Although there isn’t an official schedule for the release of new episodes just yet, Season 1 debuted in April 2022, one month after its announcement following the conclusion of “Love Is Blind” Season 2.
This indicates that Netflix may decide to keep the same month for the start of the next season in 2023 or may decide to make a total shift and surprise us by releasing new episodes before the end of 2022.
Who Will be In The Cast Of The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On (Season 2)?
Although we don’t yet know who will be welcomed into The Ultimatum’s hall of fame, Netflix has guaranteed that season 2 will feature queer women, as revealed by a fake boy band made up of cast and crew from Love Is Blind and Too Hot to Handle. We’re not kidding.

If we had to bet, we’d say married-IRL pair Nick and Vanessa Lachey will also return to host the second season.
What Does the audience expect to see in season 2?
Older participants are something I’d want to see in season two of The Ultimatum.
And here we are, bringing up age once more! I know that dating-related shows usually cater to young people, but if we could get some elderly folks to appear on The Ultimatum Season 2, that would be fantastic.
To observe how they manage it, I’d like to watch somebody with more life and long-term relationship experience—cast members in their thirties or forties, I’d say—go through this process.
Therapy sessions
- This is perhaps my most significant complaint about the first season. Recall that when the couples arrive, one member of each pairing has given the other a deadline. They then split up, switch spouses, and spend three weeks in a “trial marriage” with the new person before returning to their first partner and spending an additional three weeks with them. But the participants are never given any assistance in solving their problems!
