House of the Dragon Episode 4 Who is Lady Mysaria?

Recently House of the Dragon Episode 3 has released, and you might be thinking when will Episode 4 be released, and what will happen?

Maria, called the White Worm by her foes and rivals, was much more than a Targaryen prince’s mistress (Matt Smith).

Maria becomes an important figure in the infamous Dance of the Dragons dispute between Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and Prince Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney). At one time, Maria even serves as the Mistress of Whisperers, the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms’ official spymaster.

Who is Lady Mysaria in House of the Dragon Episode 4?

House of the Dragon Episode 4

Mysaria is described as a lovely and lissome dancing girl in George R.R. Martin’s novels when she first encounters Daemon at King’s Landing. Her complexion is “as milk-white as” (the White Worm moniker). In the episode, it seems her preference for wearing white clothing is what earns her the label.

According to the literature, Mysaria conceives Daemon’s kid. According to the Targaryen habit of compelling dragons to imprint on their young, Daemon takes a dragon egg from the Dragonpit for the infant. King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), much troubled by this, exiles Daemon.

Additionally, he directs Mysaria to return to Lys, one of Essos’ nine free cities, where she was born and raised. Mysaria loses her kid while crossing the dangerous Narrow Sea.

Mysaria still supports Daemon and his now-wife Rhaenyra’s claim to the Iron Throne some 25 years later. She plans the killing Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen, the oldest son of Rhaenyra’s half-brother, King Aegon II Targaryen, by sending two assassins to penetrate the Red Keep and kill him.

When Rhaenyra is eventually ready to accept her queenship, she appoints Mysaria as her mistress of whisperers due to her brutal gesture of allegiance. Mysaria, the mistress of whisperers, chose to show her commitment to House Targaryen by donning a hooded robe of black velvet trimmed with blood-red silk.

Mysaria, however, is a significant source of conflict and violence in King’s Landing. Mysaria was allegedly permitted to sleep with Daemon every night by Rhaenyra. Still, when she revealed to Rhaenyra that another female Dragonrider had been sleeping with Daemon, both the Dragonrider and Daemon were forced to escape in different directions.

In addition, Mysaria is said to have been responsible for Helaena Targaryen, Rhaenyra’s half-sister, committing suicide and for the treason-related hanging of two knights pledged to House Velaryon.

Mysaria is taken prisoner in the Red Keep after Rhaenyra’s rule is overthrown. She is made for walking nude and while being beaten to the Gate of the Gods (much like Cersei Lannister’s walk of atonement in Season 5 of Game of Thrones). Mysaria does not endure severe punishment, in contrast to Cersei.

Mysaria will undoubtedly continue to play a significant role in Targaryen affairs in the run-up to and during the Dance of the Dragons, even if we are unsure whether the on-screen version of her will be loyal to her literary counterpart.
