In the Westchester Country suburbs of New York, the show follows a group of teenage seventh-graders. Including best friends Nick Birch and Andrew Glouberman. Who struggle with puberty-related issues like masturbation and sexual arousal. The hormone monsters, Maurice, Connie, the hormone monstress, and Mona, are posing as over-sexualized shoulder angels.
The kids interact with frequently personified characters and objects throughout the series, including the ghost of Duke Ellington, a Statue of Liberty with French accents, a pillow that can become pregnant, a bar of Adderall, and even Jessi’s vulva. So, these characters and objects offer the kids helpful but sometimes perplexing advice about their puberty-filled lives. As they struggle with puberty’s mental and physical demands, they look for their destiny.
As a result of Nick Kroll’s assistance, Nick was finally able to overcome his hate worm, and he is now prepared to make amends with his friends in season 6. However, after realizing she is bisexual, Jessi rekindles her friendship with Missy and begins a relationship with Ali. Finally, Jay decides Matthew is a better option than Lola because he will be happier.
It is safe to assume that the cast from the fifth season will be returning. In order, to reprise their roles even though there has been no official announcement regarding the cast of season six. Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jason Mantzoukas, Ayo Edebiri, and Jessi Klein, who played Nick, Andrew, Jay, Missi, and Jessi, respectively, are anticipated to reprise their roles.
