Aquaman 2 Release Shifted to Christmas 2023, and Shazam 2 Got Delayed.

Earlier both the movies Aquaman 2 and Shazam 2 were supposed to be released in 2022, however, due to some quality changes, Warner Bros. decided to let’s make the fans a bit more.

Since Batgirl was canceled, there have been reports that Warner Bros. might be changing some of the release dates. Although everyone was on the edge of their seats waiting for the investor’s call, no delays were announced.

Since then, the flames at Warner have blazed brightly, and they haven’t stopped being astounded by how many people are attracted to the sight of something enormous that is blazing. Nobody believed we were out of the woods, but now we have evidence. Here are several major movie delays that have been reported by Deadline.

Aquaman 2 and Shazam 2 Official Release Date

Aquaman 2

Shazam! From December 21, 2022, through March 17, 2023, Fury of the Gods will be playing. Warner Bros. recently scored big by choosing March as the release month for a DC movie, eliminating any Avatar: The Way of Water competition.

Additionally, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s original release date of March 17, 2023, will instead be on December 25, 2023. This decision also makes sense in light of how well-received the first film was in December.

The team’s need for extra post-production time, which is understandable given the effects of that movie, is the cause of the delay. The only thing Aquaman 2 has to be concerned about is the fact that Rogue Squadron, which is scheduled to arrive on Disney’s release schedule on December 23, 2023, is still there as of this writing.

You’ll note that The Flash, a DC movie, wasn’t delayed. Ezra Miller has announced that they are looking for support throughout their current predicament. We’ll have to wait and see whether anything like that will be sufficient to preserve that movie, but it’s still unclear.

Not only well-known films like Shazam! or Aquaman received fresh release dates. December 9, 2022, theatrical release date was secured for House Party, which HBO Max was meant to release last month but never did, and a beautiful April 21, 2023 release date for Evil Dead Rise. Release day for The Nun 2 is set for September 8, 2023.

We’ll have to wait and see how it happens, but that Labor Day weekend tends to perform very well for horror movies. The premiere date for the Salem’s Lot remake, whose trailer we saw at CinemaCon, has been postponed until a date to be determined. Reportedly, post-production is still ongoing.

Shazam is a movie by New Line Cinema. The narrative of young Billy Batson, who, by using the magic word “SHAZAM!,” transforms into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam, is continued in the movie Fury of the Gods.

The movie is produced by Peter Safran and directed by David F. Sandberg (Shazam!, Annabelle: Creation) (Aquaman, The Suicide Squad). Based on characters from DC; Shazam! was conceived by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck. It is written by Henry Gayden (Shazam!, There’s Someone Inside Your House) and Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, The Fate of the Furious). On March 17, 2023, Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be made available.
