Succession fans have been braving the unbearably hot weather to scour the streets of New York for the chance to snap a picture of a member of the Roy family walking around acting troubled, with the same breathless fervor with which onlookers snapped pictures of Ryan Gosling filming Greta Gerwig’s Barbie earlier this summer. That is stunning in my opinion. New episodes of the HBO drama can’t arrive fast enough after the subdued explosion of the Season 3 conclusion, but production on the fourth season is already well underway.

Season 3 ended with Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin) coming together after Kendall’s confession of vehicular manslaughter and the blow of Logan’s betrayal. It also included Tom’s (Matthew Macfadyen) Godfather-style betrayal as he assisted Logan (Brian Cox) in giving the final push needed to cut the Roy children off, seemingly for good.
