Cars on the Road Season 1: Release Date Update, Cast And More

Cars on the Road Season 1, a new Cars spinoff series from Disney and Pixar, will debut on Disney+ on Thursday, September 8, and a first-look video has been made available. Watch it up there. 

Adapted from the beloved Cars films (2006, 2011, 2017), Cars on the Road follows Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and his closest friend Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) as they travel across the country from Radiator Springs to visit Mater’s sister. The characters were voiced by Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy in the films, and they are back in the animated series to perform the same duties. 

Cars on the Road Season 1: Update

Disney is back with a new Cars spin-off, Cars On The Road, created by Pixar for Disney+, after three films and two animated shows. A nine-part animated series featuring the anthropomorphic talking vehicles Lightning McQueen and Mater will premiere on September 8, 2022. 

The voices of McQueen and Mater will be recast by Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy. Bonnie Hunt will play Sally Carrera, Cheech Marin will play Ramone, Lloyd Sherr will play Fillmore, and Quinta Brunson will play Ivy in Cars On The Road. 

The streamer will premiere brand-new content from Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and National Geographic as part of the celebration. Additionally, it will provide subscribers and followers with exclusive events.

The Pixar series can be seen once Disney+ releases its new programming at 3 am ET/ 12 am PT. The series won’t be accessible on any other streaming services like HBO, Netflix, etc., since it was made solely for Disney+. 

A little more than two minutes long, the spin-trailer off’s gave fans a glimpse of Lightning McQueen and Mater setting out on yet another adventure. 

In addition to the franchise’s well-known characters, the series will also include new settings and new characters. According to rumors, the upcoming spin-off series will also feature characters from the Cars spin-off movies Planes (2013) and Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014). 

On September 8, 2022, Cars On The Road will make its Disney+ debut.
