1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear: Price, Design, and Much More

Published by

1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear: In an age when prices are used to determine quality. 1More occupies a unique position. It has found the sweet spot for balancing affordability and performance. As a result, 1More is the brains behind Xiaomi’s award-winning headphones. The Mi In-Eat Headphones Pro has carved out a stellar reputation among other fierce competitors.

1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear: Price

The 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones cost $69.99 and are available in almost two colors: gold and silver.

The Triple Driver is, unsurprisingly, a pair of triple-driver earbuds from 1More, a relatively new company. The Triple Driver’s driver setup consists of two balanced armature drivers (BA) and one dynamic driver (DD). Making them a hybrid pair of earphones.

Hybrid technology has advanced significantly in recent years. You can now enjoy the benefits of a detailed BA response combined with the larger low-end grunt provided by dynamic drivers’ larger diaphragms.

Design

The design is cohesive and full of nice little bespoke touches, such as the presentation of accessories and the layout of graphics and information. The earbuds themselves are angled and provide a comfortable fit in the ear. However, they do not sit completely flush and protrude only slightly.

1More experiments with materials and colors; the shell is entirely made of aluminum. But there are different shades of grey/silver due to different polishing. The company logo and R/L markings are etched on the sides and are visible; because they are etched rather than printed, they should last virtually indefinitely.

The headphones include a three-button remote that works with Android and iOS, which not all headphones can do, thus the existence of Android and iOS specific headphones.

Performance

The 1MORE Triple Driver excels in terms of sound quality. While the balanced but slightly warm sound signature did not initially impress us, we appreciated the Triple Drivers’ balance and detail.

Bass pumps in a carefully emphasized low end can be overpowering at times. But, for the most part, it stays within its limitations and does its job, delivering a thumping low end without interfering with other aspects of the track.

In terms of detail, space, and balance, the Triple Drivers cannot compete with the Quad Drivers. But the differences between the siblings are so minor that it’s difficult to fault the less expensive Triple Driver.

Specification

On the surface, this earphone appears to have a fairly standard frequency range, but with some additional extension in the high end.

The Triple Driver’s nominal impedance remains low, allowing it to easily work with smartphones, computers, and personal music players. Regarding sound pressure, 99 decibels isn’t too bad, and users should have no trouble reaching adequate volume.
