The tablet shell is made of aluminum alloy which is great, don’t get me wrong. But that material is hidden by the overall casing, as the back plate is fabric and the underside of the keyboard is plastic. It’s a typical tablet size at 10.1 inches, but using it like a work laptop gets cramped.

As a result, the detachable keyboard is also small. Nevertheless, most keys aren’t bad to press; they’re a little larger than the Surface Go’s keys, with about 1.3mm travel. The fabric-covered back plate is held in place by strong magnets, and the keyboard is also magnetic.

Like the Surface Go Type Cover and iPad Smart Keyboard, it connects to the tablet via pogo pin connectors. Unfortunately, detaching the tablet from the cover and keyboard is one step too difficult because each item must be removed separately.

Performance

However, the Duet does not support Windows. The Google Chrome OS, on the other hand, is a hardware version of what you’ll find on your Google account using any web browser. It has the same apps as before, with the addition of the ability to run a few Microsoft Office applications natively on the device.

The Chromebook Duet scored 31.9 on the JetStream 2 benchmark, which tests the performance of web browser applications.

This is less than the 49 from the Samsung Chromebook 4, 74.9 from the Surface Go 2, and a fraction of the 91.9 from the iPad. The Chromebook Duet scored 58 on the WebXPRT 3 test, which evaluates HTML5 and JavaScript-based scenarios.
