Dwayne Johnson Says He Has Only One Chance with Black Adam

Black Adam, the next DCEU blockbuster in which Dwayne Johnson has been linked for the title role for the last 15 years, will surely be worth the wait, according to Johnson. Black Adam is scheduled to be released shortly.

Given Johnson’s track record of box office success and his reputation as probably the most prominent (and the highest-paid) actor in Hollywood, there is no doubt in Johnson’s mind that the movie will be well worth the audience’s time anticipating its release.

Despite this, it would be an exaggeration to say that many fans of the franchise (and the comic book company in general) have become highly tired as a result of the lack of cohesion, frequent change in release dates, creative rejigs, off-camera scandals, and cancellations that have persistently dogged Warner Bros.’ multi-billion dollar cash cow over the past few years. These issues have been caused by the fact that the franchise has been plagued with these.

Currently Dwayne Johnson Is Busy Promoting Black Adam

It may sound like a great way to generate money to combine an origin tale with an expansion, but Johnson said on Twitter that he only has one shot at making Black Adam a success; if it fails, he will only have himself to blame.

It sounds like a license to print money if there ever was one: an A-list star assuming the lead role in the film industry’s most financially successful subgenre, an origin story with an expansion.

If Black Adam fails to do well at the box office, it would be pretty embarrassing for The Rock since he has spent the last decade promoting the idea that the current order of power will be overthrown and replaced.

This is especially pertinent because he has already explored the possibility of sequels to Black Adam, spinoffs, and other inquiries into the character’s extensive history.

It’s reassuring to know that Johnson, a former professional wrestler, isn’t yet going overboard in his new role as the protagonist of a superhero movie. This is especially true when one considers that Black Adam won’t have much competition in October because there won’t be many other movies playing in theatres then.
