Ratched (Season 2) When Will It Release & Who Will Return?

Ratched (Season 2) Update: Following the success of Ratched Season 1, fans have been excitedly anticipating and inquiring about Ratched Season 2 in an effort to see nurse Ratched back on television. The creators have not provided many details about Season 2 since the release of Season 1 in the fall of 2020.

48 million households watched the episode within 28 days of its premiere, making it the most watched series debut of 2020, according to Netflix. A second season of the show was unavoidable given its enormous success.

Ratched had mixed reviews from critics, with an average score of 61% on Rotten Tomatoes, yet it was nominated for four Primetime Emmys, indicating that it was unquestionably popular with viewers.

You don’t need to be concerned about whether or not Ratched season 2 will air. It is mainly safe from Netflix’s ever-swinging axe because it was initially commissioned as a two-season series and will definitely be released.

Ratched (Season 2)

The bad news is that it’s hard to pinpoint when Ratched season 2 will premiere. Ratched season 2 production hasn’t even begun as of this writing due to a variety of factors, including the cast’s busy schedules, Covid-19, and Ryan Murphy’s numerous other projects.

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any indication that a trailer for Ratched season 2 is on the way, and since filming hasn’t yet begun, we’ll probably have to wait a lot longer for any teasers or images as well.

For Netflix, a two-season series order for Ratched was placed. “Ratched won a two-season, 18-episode straight-to-series order,” Netflix said when this was revealed.

What’s On Netflix reports that the series received one additional episode beyond what was initially promised, bringing the total number of episodes to 19.

Season 2 is listed on IMDB as having ten episodes, thus it’s plausible that Netflix ordered an additional episode.
